Function Definition

After the product is created, you can proceed with product development, and defining product functions is the first step in product development. The product function consists of three parts: standard function, custom function, and cloud function. You can complete all function settings in the first step of product development on the Function Definition page of Tuya IoT Platform.

• Standard Function

  Standard functions refer to commonly used functions supported by the products in a specified category.

• Custom Function

  Note: Only the products that select Custom Development Plan support custom functions.

  If your product functions are not included in the standard functions, you can create custom functions. Function points are abstract representations of product functions, and each function can be customized through different function types.

• Cloud Function

  Cloud functions are cloud-based functions and do not require hardware embedded development. Currently supported cloud functions** include timing** and jump webpage.

  • Timing: Set switching time and weekly cycle, without hardware embedded development.
  • Redirect page: Mainly used to set up the micro-mall to purchase products, product instructions, and other pages to jump.
