Infrared Set-Top Box APIs

This topic describes the business process and time series relationship of infrared set-top boxes.

Procedure

1. Get a list of IR device types supported. For more information, see Get Category List.

2. A brand might have multiple IR code library indexes. You need to test and find indexes suitable for IR devices. It is recommended to test at least three valid keys before you add a remote control. For more information, see Send Standard Command (During Pairing).

3. After the available IR code library index is confirmed, use this index to bind the set-top box remote control to the universal IR remote control. For more information, see Add Remote Control.

4. Use the newly added remote control to control devices by standard IR commands. For more information, see Common APIs for Infrared Devices and Send Standard Command.

5. Select a location.

   • Get province list

   • Get city list

   • Get region list

6. Get the list of supported carriers by specified area. For more information, see Get Carriers by Region ID.
