Production Test on Wi-Fi Breaker

Last Updated on : 2024-11-20 02:12:22download

This topic describes production tests on Wi-Fi breakers, covering the Wi-Fi function and the capability of communication between the module and control board.

Background information

The production tests on Wi-Fi breakers include PCBA host tests and finished product tests.

Application scope

It applies to Wi-Fi breakers whose firmware supports the new production test process (the production test can be repeated).

Things to note

  • Place the device under test three to five meters away from the router without any obstacles.

Note: When using the surrounding aging rack for production testing, make sure that the device under test will not be blocked by metal or surrounded by other products.

  • In the production test environment, use as few non-test routers as possible to reduce interference thus speeding up the production test.
  • Remove paired devices from the app with the network and wait 10 seconds to power them off before starting the production test.

Deployment preparation

  • Place the device under test three to five meters away from the router without any obstacles.

Note: When using the surrounding aging rack for production testing, make sure that the device under test will not be blocked by metal or surrounded by other products.

  • Connect the AC stable isolated power supply to the input live wire LIN and the input neutral wire N of the control board.
  • In the production test environment, use as few non-test routers as possible to reduce interference thus speeding up the production test.
  • Remove paired devices from the app with the network and wait 10 seconds to power them off before starting the production test.

Answers to FAQs

Issue 1
The Wi-Fi indicator of the device is flickering fast, but when the switch is pressed, the relay flips only once.

  • Single socket: When the switch is pressed once, the relay flips only once.
  • Power strip: When the master switch strip is pressed once, each relay flips once simultaneously.

Possible causes
The device is not in low power status yet, so the production test is not started.

Troubleshooting

  1. Turn off the production test router, and pair the device with an app.
  2. After the pairing is successful, remove the device from the app.
  3. Wait 10 seconds to power off, and then power on again.
At this time, the device will enter the low power mode by default.

Issue 2
The Wi-Fi indicator of the device cannot flicker fast.
Possible causes
A device failure occurs.
Troubleshooting
Consider it a faulty device.
