Introduction to key components

The Tuya Sandwich NB-IoT communication board adopts the high-performance NB-IoT module NM1 developed by Tuya Smart. The development board contains NB-IoT module NM1, buttons, LED indicators, UART ports, SIM card connector, and more. For more information, see NB-IoT Module Datasheet.

I/O ports and function definitions

  • TX0/RX0: Used for firmware upgrade.

  • TX1/RX1: Used for MCU general connection.

  • TX2/RX2: Used to view logs.

  • POWER indicator: 3.3V power indicator light.

  • NET indicator: NB-IoT network status indicator light.

  • Button PWR: PWRKEY button. You can press and hold for 1 s and then release to start the NM1 module.

  • Button RST: The button used to reset the NM1 module, which is active low.

  • Other GPIO ports: serial ports and power ports. See the following table.

    No. Symbol Description
1 RST The hardware reset pin. Its default logic level is high. It is active when pulled down.
2 3V3 The power supply pin of the module. Its typical supply voltage is 3.3V.
    3 GND Module power ground.
4 PWRKEY The PWRKEY pin of the module which is used to start the module.
5 PSM_INT The PSM_INT pin of the module which is used for low-power waking up.
    6 TXD UART_TXD.
    7 RXD UART_RXD.
