This topic describes how to get the tools that are required during the production and flashing process involving Tuya’s modules.

Tool types

Tool with a part number: a type of commodity provided by Tuya. You can purchase this type of tool on the Tuya Developer Platform. Example: 3M high-speed serial port board.
Tool without a part number: a type of tool provided by third-party hardware manufacturers. Example: Telink writer.

To get a tool that is assigned a part number on the Tuya Developer Platform, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to the Tuya Developer Platform.
2. In the left-side navigation bar, select Purchase > Purchase > Production > Tooling & Devices.
3. In the search box, select Item Name or Part Number, and enter the required information about the tool to be purchased. The required information will be mentioned in the subsequent section. For example, enter the part number 3.55.01.00359 to search for the 3M high-speed serial port board.
4. Click Search.
5. In the commodity found, click Buy Now in the Operation column.
For the tools that are not assigned a part number, we recommend that you get them in other ways. For example, you can purchase them from e-commerce platforms like Amazon, brand owners, or resellers. Alternatively, contact Tuya’s account manager to get them.
