The power Line Communication (PLC) Sub-Device Development Framework provides easy-to-use and unified APIs for developing PLC sub-devices. The standard APIs allow for seamless application porting across chip platforms to accelerate your time to market.

Functional description

PLC Sub-Device Development Framework provides standard APIs for a range of features, including network management, upstream and downstream communication, local groups, standard scenes, and OTA updates. This frees you to focus on application innovation.

Features

  • Bulk OTA update: Update the PLC devices in a local group in bulk. This method can save a lot of time when many identical devices in a network are updated over the air.
  • Auto-recovery: When a PLC device enters the pairing mode after local reset by button press, it can automatically restore to the previous PLC network if pairing timeout or power failure occurs. This feature can prevent a device from leaving the network by unintended operations.
  • Local binding and unbinding: Enable direct control between PLC devices. This process makes both devices bound with each other. Thus, one of the devices can directly send a command to the other, even when the gateway is powered off.
