Test guide

Pairing

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the device is connected to the network properly and the app can receive the local status and information of the device.
  • Scenario: The user remotely views the current status of the device on the app.
  • Test method: Pair the device with an appropriate approach.
  • Pass standard: The device is connected to the network successfully and displayed in the device list on the app.

Exit network

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the device is disconnected from the cloud and the app.
  • Scenario: When the user is not using the device, the status and information of the device are not displayed on the app.
  • Test method: Disconnect the device by removing it from the app or exit the network by pressing the exit button on the device.
  • Pass standard: After the device is disconnected from the network, the app does not receive any device status or information even if the exit button of the device is triggered.

History

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the history time is accurate and the displayed information is complete.
  • Scenario: The user views the current and previous device triggering data.
  • Test method: Trigger the device alarm and check the device history.
  • Pass standard: The history is complete and the history time is consistent with the time when the device alarm was triggered.

Alarm

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the local device alarm is triggered and the app panel displays the alarm status and information when the local alarm condition is met.
  • Scenario: When the local alarm condition is met, the user remotely receives the alarm information with the app.
  • Test method: Change the detection environment manually to meet the alarm condition.
  • Pass standard: The local device alarm is triggered and the app receives the alarm information remotely.

Cancel the alarms

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the device restores to normal status when the detection environment is back to normal status.
  • Scenario: When the detection environment is back to normal status, the user checks whether the device restores to normal status with the app.
  • Test method: Change the detection environment from the alarm condition to the normal condition and check the local reaction and app display.
  • Pass standard: The device restores to the normal status and the app displays the normal status.

Mute the alarms

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the alarm can be triggered with only a flashing indicator yet without an alarm sound.
  • Scenario: In the case of a false touch or a false alarm, the alarm sound is stopped through the mute operation.
  • Test method: When the alarm is triggered, enable the mute switch on the app or press the mute button of the device.
  • Pass standard: The alarm sound is stopped but the alarm indicator keeps flashing and the app still displays alarm status.

Whole device power consumption

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the battery life is as expected.
  • Scenario: The sensor device is working continuously for a long time.
  • Test method: Use an electronic lock power tester to test the power consumption of the sensor in each status.
  • Pass standard: The static power consumption is less than or equal to 40 μA, and the battery life reaches one year.

Stability

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the proper function of the device.
  • Scenario: The sensor device is working continuously for a long time.
  • Test method: Simulate daily usage scenarios with 3 to 10 sensors working for 7 × 24 hours to test the reliability of the sensors.
  • Pass standard: No restart, crash, or data loss occurs during the test.

Panel compatibility

  • Test purpose: The purpose is to ensure the panel of the sensor device is displayed properly on the app.
  • Scenario: The users use the same sensor device with different models of mobile phones.
  • Test method: Use the phones ranking top 10 to 20 to monitor the robustness of the UI according to the screen sizes of the mobile phones.
  • Pass standard: The panel text of the sensor device is displayed completely and correctly on each test model.
