Multilingual Settings

Multilingual settings are required during the development of control panels. tuya-panel-kit provides the built-in internationalization module to configure multilingual settings.

Configure multilingual settings

Do not set languages other than Chinese and English in local code. Those languages apply to multiple countries and regions and are not fully compatible with local code. You must go to the Tuya IoT Development Platform and choose App > Multi-language > Product Language > Device Panel to configure multilingual settings.

Define the following languages in the file src/i18n/strings.{js,ts}.

Generate and export multilingual settings

Export the instance from the file src/i18n/index.{js,ts}.

The multilingual settings apply to any multilingual scenario.

Import multilingual settings to Tuya IoT Development Platform

Only a JSON file of less than 1 MB is supported. The multilingual settings in the JSON file imported to the Tuya IoT Development Platform prevail over the settings in local code.

  1. Find the section to import the multilingual settings.

  2. Click Download or Import.

  3. Import the multilingual file in the following JSON format.
