AI Image Recognition

AI image recognition is Tuya’s open AI algorithm capability based on image analytics. Currently, Tuya supports target detection algorithms such as vehicle recognition and pet detection, with high recognition accuracy. Tuya provides core capabilities for you to process varied scenarios, such as violation recognition, smart parking, pet management, and smart photo albums.

You can call the APIs, and use an image in Base64 encoded form as an input parameter. Note that Base64 encoded data does not include the image header, such as data:image/jpg;base64,. After the cloud algorithm program and computing resources analyze the image, you will get the results.

Note: AI image recognition supports the API Explorer on the Cloud Development Platform. You can use the API Explorer to simulate API calls online. For more information, see API Explorer.

Scenarios

• Parking violation detection: Monitor parking status in public areas with vehicle detection algorithms. Timely discover violations, trigger alerts, and notify specified contacts to deal with parking violations.
• Smart parking: Count the number of vehicles entering and exiting a parking lot, as well as the number of vacant parking spaces, by using video surveillance devices and relying on a smart vehicle detection algorithm. Moreover, implement scenarios such as smart automatic payment to achieve a convenient, efficient, and comfortable smart parking experience.
• Pet management: Based on pet detection, empower video surveillance devices of pet shops and homes by using cloud services, identify pets in images, trigger alerts for pets strayed into specific areas, and then carry out a manual intervention.
• Smart album: After the users set and analyze the specified targets in the images, this capability can automatically classify photos into groups. Then, users can quickly filter and manage albums.
