Mappings Between OEM App Accounts and Data Centers

This topic describes the default data centers in which OEM app accounts are served based on the app account locations. For more information, see Data Center.
Rules of account location
Default rules
- OEM apps can be created on the Tuya Developer Platform. By default, the app accounts are allocated to specific data centers based on the mappings between the data centers and the countries or regions listed in the following tables. The locations of the app accounts determine the data centers in which the app accounts are served.
- The countries or regions not listed in the following tables are mapped to the Western America Data Center.
- The data center location might occasionally be adjusted (only when necessary). For detailed changes, refer to the Change log of data center locations.
- India Data Center is managed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and has been available since 2020.
- For OEM apps created earlier than 2020-09-22 17:10:00 (UTC+8), if the app accounts have been registered in India, these app accounts belong to the Central Europe Data Center.
- For OEM apps created since 2020-09-22 17:10:00 (UTC+8), the app accounts are allocated based on the mappings for this data center in this topic.
- Singapore Data Center has been available since June 3, 2025.
- For OEM apps created earlier than 2025-6-3 10:00:00 (UTC+8), if the app accounts have been registered in a country or region in the table, they will still remain in the original data center.
- For OEM apps created since 2025-6-3 10:00:00 (UTC+8), the app accounts are allocated based on the mappings for this data center in this topic.
- For countries/regions where the data center’s location has changed, refer to the Change log of data center locations to find out its original location.
Modify rules
You can modify the rules, as instructed in Confirm Mappings Between OEM App Accounts and Data Centers.
This way, you can specify the data centers in which your OEM app accounts in certain countries or regions are served. The app accounts created since this modification are allocated to the specified data centers based on the mappings that might be different from those mentioned in this topic. Your OEM apps must be rebuilt to make this modification effective.
