Term Description
SaaS Development Framework The SaaS Development Framework is a one-stop solution for industry developers, provided by Tuya Developer Platform. This framework offers foundational applications for selection and configuration, enabling developers to create deliverable SaaS products with zero coding.
Smart Data Operations is built upon this framework, allowing for modular application configuration and development to form the final SaaS product.
SaaS microapp Within the SaaS Development Framework, Tuya’s microapps are individual functional modules abstracted from a SaaS system. Developers can select pre-built microapps for quick SaaS deployment. They can also customize their own microapp at minimal cost to meet specific needs.
Characteristics of microapps:
  • Microapps fulfill specific business functionalities independently.
  • Microapps can be developed and published independently.
  • Microapps can be combined to form a complete SaaS application based on user demands.
  • Each microapp has separate permission management, menus, and dependencies.
  • Typically, application development refers to microapp development.
Data center A data center is a cluster of physical or virtual servers that store and process app user data from different countries and regions. Each user’s data is isolated from any other user’s data. Supported data centers include:
  • China data center
  • Western America data center
  • Central Europe data center
  • Eastern America data center
  • India data center
  • Western Europe data center
Segment A segment is a collection of users, created for a specific purpose or to satisfy particular conditions by filtering from the entire user base.
Creation methods:
  • Importing user account information.
  • Selecting based on label conditions, with optional intersection or union operations.
  • Filtering by behavior events within a specified time range, with optional intersection or union operations.
  • Nesting user segments by performing intersection or union operations on existing segments.
Segments enable targeted operations, such as user data profiles and marketing pushes.
Label User labels describe user characteristics, behaviors, and preferences, facilitating user classification and targeting. Labels are associated with user data to enhance understanding of target user segments.
Behavior event A behavior event is a defined user operation on a specified channel, with real-time event data reported in a set format.
User profile A user profile is a label-based user model created from attributes, labels, preferences, behavior records, and marketing records.
Marketing push Marketing push refers to the process of sending targeted information to potential or existing customers through channels such as mobile apps and email. As an important part of marketing strategies, marketing push aims to communicate valuable information to the target audience, promote sales, and provide personalized experiences.
Automated marketing Automated marketing utilizes a drag-and-drop canvas configuration tool to execute differentiated marketing strategies automatically.
By leveraging A/B testing, this approach applies different marketing strategies to different audiences and compares the effectiveness of these strategies.
