This topic describes the updates of the OEM app for Smart Home Lighting with v5.18.0. This app version was released on December 3rd, 2024. You can integrate the updates into your app.
Optimized the app pairing experience from the following three aspects.
The user experience has been optimized when IPC devices are paired with the app in QR code mode.
Previously, on the QR code page of the app, when the device was connected to the cloud and a prompt tone was issued, users needed to manually tap I Heard a Prompt to navigate to the pairing result page and add the device. A short prompt tone or a failed cloud connection might cause users to get stuck on the page for too long, thus affecting the pairing success rate.
After this optimization, when the device successfully connects to the cloud, the app will automatically navigate to the pairing result page without the user’s manual confirmation. This makes the pairing process more convenient and smoother.
After the IPC fails to pair with the app via Wi-Fi and 4G, the app collects FAQs about IPC pairing failures. This helps understand the problems encountered by users and conduct special analytics.
