Product Overview

Developed by Tuya, T211x-WR1-IPEX is a WiFi module that is suitable for serial communication of 3.3V. It mainly consists of a WiFi module WR1-IPEX module and a level conversion circuit. It is further embedded with the WiFi network protocol stack and serial communication protocol.
T211x-WR1-IPEX is an RTOS platform that integrates all function libraries of the WiFi MAC and TCP/IP protocols. On the basis of the serial communication manner, you can develop embedded WiFi products as required.

  1. Embedded low-power 32-bit CPU, which can also function as an application processor
  2. The maximum clock rate: 125 MHz
  3. Working voltage: 3.3V
  4. Peripherals: 1 universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (UART)
  5. WiFi connectivity
    • 802.11 b/g/n20/n40
    • Channels 1 to 14@2.4GHz, (Ch 1 to 11 for US/CA,Ch 1 to 13 for EU/CN)
    • Support WPA and WPA 2 security modes
    • Up to +20 dBm output power in 802.11b mode
    • Support SmartConfig and AP network configuration manners for Android and IOS devices
    • Onboard PCB antenna and external antenna IPEX connector
    • Working temperature: -20℃ to 85℃

Dimensions and Footprint

The electrical interface of T211x_WR1_IPEX is a vertical placement 4P wafer and a connector with a pin spacing of 1.5 mm.
The dimensions of T211x-WR1-IPEX are 29.95±0.35 mm (W)×32.95±0.35 mm (L) ×6.35±0.15 mm (H). The thickness of the PCB is 1.2±0.1 mm. Its dimensions are shown in the following figure:

Antenna Interference Reduction

To ensure optimal WiFi performance when the WiFi module uses an onboard PCB antenna, it is recommended that the antenna be at least 15 mm away from other metal parts.
To ensure the antenna performance, the PCB should not be routed or clad with copper in the antenna area.

Production Instructions

Storage conditions for a delivered module are as follows:
1. The moisture-proof bag must be placed in an environment where the temperature is below 30°C and the relative humidity is lower than 85%.
2. The shelf life of a dry-packaged product is 6 months from the date when the product is packaged and sealed.
Caution:
1. In the production process, all operators must wear electrostatic rings.
2. During operation, strictly prevent the module from getting wet or dirty.

Recommended Oven Temperature Curve

Perform SMT based on the following reflow oven temperature curve. The highest temperature is 245°C. The reflow temperature curve is shown as belows:
