Production test on an end product

Background

Customer A is a smart product research and development company. Subsidiary B is Customer A’s OEM factory, with a complete production ERP system and rich OEM production experience
Customer A purchases an authorization code from Tuya, and then assembles and authorizes the product in factory B.

Customer Need

  1. The firmware is developed by customer A, using Tuya common protocol
  2. Do not use Tuya host computer production test tools, need to use the B factory host computer, and report the production data to the factory ERP system
  3. The authorization information is transparent, which is convenient for customers to query the authorization code usage in the ERP system and stock up in time.
  4. Customer-supplied modules, Tuya modules are not used.

Remarks:

This solution allows customers to flexibly dock the production system according to their needs, and all production data is stored in the customer system. Customers are required to have certain development capabilities and a certain amount of development at the same time. After the development is completed, the customer is required to conduct joint adjustments to the entire production process to meet the production requirements.

Solution 2:

  1. Provide a complete production test tool, which can be developed according to the customer’s specified test items, and delivered to the customer after internal verification (required)
  2. Option 1 can provide

Remarks:

Tuya undertakes all the workload of host computer development, customizes and develops all production test content for customers, and completes product joint debugging.
This solution is inconvenient for docking with customer systems. If docking is required, secondary customized development is required, and the cycle is long.
The production data cannot be fully integrated with the customer system. Product traceability is difficult, and authorization information needs to be queried in Tuya PMS.

Production test on the end product

Background

Customer A is an OEM manufacturer of gateway sub-devices The production scale is small, with only manual production capacity for OEM products. No software development capabilities, no experience in introducing smart products.
Customer A cooperates with Tuya in two modes:

  1. Purchasing Tuya authorized modules, assembling and testing the whole machine in customer A’s factory
  2. The customer purchases empty modules that are authorized by Tuya. Complete assembly and test of the end product.

Customer Need

  1. The firmware needs to be developed by Tuya.
  2. Tuya’s test solution
  3. The authorization information is transparent, so that customers can clearly control the number of authorization codes used.
  4. Easy production process

Background

Customer A is a module manufacturer who purchases Tuya chips and empty modules. The customer is a traditional OEM factory and does not have development capabilities.
There are many types of module chip platforms, and each module has different requirements for pre-burning, RF testing, GPIO testing and signal strength testing.
RF testing uses various equipment such as IQ and mechanism analyzers. Automation device ID.

  1. The module firmware is developed by Tuya

End product production test C

Background

A and B are two very different companies that are cooperating with Tuya. The difference is that the price difference between the two customers in AB is relatively large. The customer put forward a number of docking requirements, but for the same point, neither of the AB customers is authorized by Tuya.

Customer Need

  1. Customer AB is not authorized by Tuya PMS, only purchase Tuya chips and empty modules
  2. Customer AB is not authorized by Tuya PMS, customer firmware is burned in Tuya, and shipped after burning
