Automated marketing enables you to create customized marketing strategies using a drag-and-drop canvas tool provided by Smart Data Operations. The platform automatically executes these strategies. Supported marketing types include: app pop-ups, app review requests, app push notifications, and emails.
Automated marketing can only be triggered by events. Batch push notifications are not supported.
Automated marketing enables you to set multiple interconnected triggers, allowing for complex business strategies.
Unlike operation plans which target only one channel, automated marketing integrates multiple channels and filtering methods into a complete marketing workflow. This functionality is ideal for advanced business strategies. A process canvas enables targeted interactions throughout an entire campaign or user lifecycle based on user attributes, labels, or behaviors.
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Process canvas | A visual interface for configuring complex strategies using components such as strategy nodes and connectors. This enables refined operational workflows. |
Strategy node | The smallest unit of a marketing strategy. A strategy node includes a name, trigger conditions, delivery channels, and content. Multiple nodes may be combined in a single campaign. |
Node name | Style | Description | Required | Supported follow-up steps |
---|---|---|---|---|
Conditions to Start the Process | Configures the starting step of automated marketing, including Trigger Time and Segment Condition. The target segment can be all users or a specific group. | Yes | Filtering condition, experimental grouping, marketing actions, and process control | |
Filtering Condition - Event Condition | Adds event conditions within a specified time after the trigger condition is met. | No | Filtering condition, experimental grouping, marketing actions, and process control | |
Filtering Condition - Segment Condition | Further segments the users who meet the entry conditions. You can only select specific groups. | No | Filtering condition, experimental grouping, marketing actions, and process control | |
Experimental Grouping - Random Grouping | Randomly assigns users to groups based on a hash of their user IDs. Allows for two to six groups. | No | Filtering condition, marketing actions, and process control | |
Experimental Grouping - Copy Grouping | Copies the selected user segment into several groups, with each group containing all users meeting the conditions. Allows for two to three groups. | No | Filtering condition, marketing actions, and process control | |
Marketing Actions | Enables delivery via app pop-ups, review requests, app push notifications, or emails. | Yes | Filtering condition, experimental grouping, marketing actions, and process control | |
Process Control - Delay | Adds a delay to the process. Supported durations range from 10 minutes to 7 days. | No | Filtering condition, experimental grouping, and marketing actions | |
Process Control - End | Marks the end of a branch in the process. Each branch must end with this node. | Yes | None |
Click the icon at the top right corner of a node to add a new node to the process. After the process branch is configured, to add a new branch, click the + button on an existing node in the process.
Click the icon at the top right corner of a node to delete it along with all downstream nodes. The initial node cannot be removed.
Plan Name: Supports up to 50 characters, including Chinese, English, and numbers.
Effective Time: Includes 27 time zones. The start time must be later than the current time, and the end time must be within one year from the current time.
Horizontal and vertical display modes are supported. Use the option at the top left of the canvas to switch between the two modes.
When pushing marketing content, the system verifies whether the users meet the conditions of the most recent upstream node.
Yes.
Yes. Users can re-enter the process if they meet the conditions and trigger conditions again. Therefore, you need to configure an automated marketing plan carefully to avoid repeated triggering.
Copy grouping: Copies the selected user segment into several groups, with each group containing all users meeting the conditions. Therefore, each marketing link contains all users in the selected segment.
Random grouping: Randomly assigns users to groups using a hash algorithm. Each user enters only one link. This algorithm can ensure balanced distribution only when the user base is large enough. A small user base might result in the uneven grouping.
