The Tuya Sandwich H-bridge driver board is a typical DC motor control board. You can use the board with other control boards to reverse the voltage polarity for the connected load or output ports.

Background information

H-bridge is a typical DC motor control circuit. It is named after H-bridge because its circuit shape looks like the letter H. The four vertical line segments in the letter H consist of four triodes and the motor is in the center of the horizontal line segment.

The Tuya Sandwich H-bridge driver board is equipped with a DC005A round power input and a built-in DC circuit. It provides 5V/1A and 3.3V/1A power to other components.

Key components

Symbol Description
U1 U2 (SY8121B) DC-DC voltage reversal chip.
2A output, maximum 18V input, and 1.2 MHz clock frequency.

I/O ports and function definitions

  • CN5: DC005A terminal, which is the DC 12V power input port of the board.
  • CN10: Load interface, which is used to connect the DC motor and more.
  • CN11: Voltage output interface. When CN4 is short connected, it outputs DC 12V voltage. When CN9 is short connected, it outputs DC 5V voltage.
I/O port Description
3V3 Output 3.3V power
5V Output 5V power
GND Power ground
12V Output 12V power
PWM1 and PWM2 These ports control the power polarity of the load interface by using a jumper cap to make CN3 or CN8 short connected.

Things to note

  • The actual voltage of interfaces showed in the 12V silk screen is identical to the external power input.
  • The logic levels of PWM1 and PWM2 cannot be set as high at the same time.
