Template v5.4.0 Update Instructions

This topic describes the updates of the OEM app for Smart Life with v5.4.0. This app version was released on August 23, 2023. You can integrate the updates into your app.

App update

Optimized user experience of Matter devices

• Allowed users to start automatic discovery of Matter devices simply on the app homepage. The following types of Matter devices are supported:
  • Matter over Wi-Fi devices
  • Matter over Thread devices
  • Wired Matter gateways
• Optimized the error message that is returned if pairing with a Matter device is failed.

Platform update

• Supported custom settings of the Me page.
  Go to Tuya IoT Development Platform > App > OEM App > App Creation > Customize UI > Detailed Settings, and access and apply the following settings:

  

  • Modify the settings of the Me page as needed. For example, sort the items to be displayed and modify their names and icons.

    

  • Add a custom setting to the Me page. In this setting, you can configure navigation to a smart miniapp or a specific URL.

    

  • Show or hide the Third-Party Services section on the Me page.

    

• Added configuration of Account Security for Google Play.
  Go to the Tuya IoT Development Platform and modify the template to make the statement of user account security.

  The configuration of Account Security for Google Play must be finished before your app can be launched on Google Play.
