This topic describes the updates of the OEM app for Smart Life with v4.0.0. This app version was released on May 26, 2022. You can integrate the updates into your app.

App update

Optimized temperature unit conversion in scene linkage

The temperature unit to be displayed in scene linkage adapts to the temperature unit settings on the app or device.
For example, if a device has the temperature unit configured, this temperature unit will be used in priority to display the temperature in scene linkage. If the device does not have the temperature unit configured, the temperature unit configured on the app will be used to display the temperature in scene linkage.

Platform update

Supported Huawei AppGallery App for Android Outside Mainland China during app build targeted to global locations

• How to access: Tuya IoT Development Platform > App > OEM App > App Creation > Create App
• Introduction:
  • This feature is only available to OEM apps for smart life.
  • If the Targeted Locations field is set to Global when you create the app, Huawei AppGallery App for Android Outside Mainland China can be selected when you build it.
  • If an earlier version is used, update it to v3.31.5 or later, and when you build the app, select Huawei AppGallery App for Android Outside Mainland China.

Things to note

Voice control

The voice control feature can be accessed in the top right corner of the homepage on the app during the beta testing. After the update of the app version, if any problem regarding this feature arises, submit a ticket or contact Tuya’s account manager to fix the problem. Otherwise, voice control might not work as expected after the update.
