Template v4.3.0 Update Instructions

This topic describes the updates of the OEM app for Smart Life with v4.3.0. This app version was released on August 25, 2022. You can integrate the updates into your app.

• Fixed certain known issues and optimized the user experience of certain features.

• Optimized the capabilities of pairing routers.

• Supported TuyaLink-based devices to implement scene linkage.

Platform update

Added templates of weather cards and device cards to Custom App Tools

• How to access: Tuya IoT Development Platform > App > OEM App > App Creation > Customize UI > Detailed Settings

• Introduction: Templates of weather cards and device cards are provided in Custom App Tools for you to configure OEM apps. You can subscribe to the Custom App Tools service to configure the overall style, important pages and components, themes, and other app UI options on your terms. You can also choose among a series of app templates to simplify UI customization and help you tailor a branded IoT app. For more information, see Custom App Tools.

Supported quick pairing over Bluetooth

• How to access: Tuya IoT Development Platform > App > OEM App > App Creation > Customize UI > Detailed Settings

• Introduction: You can enable Quick Pair over Bluetooth for your OEM app, so Bluetooth devices can be automatically discovered for pairing in the app. This improves the efficiency and user experience of device pairing.

Added Smart tab

• How to access: Tuya IoT Development Platform > App > OEM App > App Creation > Customize UI > Detailed Settings

• Introduction: You can enable the Smart tab for your OEM app developed based on template v4.2.0 or later. Then, you can submit a ticket and request Tuya’s staff to configure Tuya Mini App on the Smart tab.

Things to note

Voice control

The voice control feature can be accessed in the top right corner of the homepage on the app during the beta testing. After the update of the app version, if any problem regarding this feature arises, submit a ticket or contact Tuya’s account manager to fix the problem. Otherwise, voice control might not work as expected after the update.
