Template v4.2.0 Update Instructions

This topic describes the updates of the OEM app for Smart Life with v4.2.0. This app version was released on July 29, 2022. You can integrate the updates into your app.

Platform update

Added Custom App Tools

• How to access: Tuya IoT Development Platform > App > OEM App > App Creation > Customize UI > Detailed Settings

• Introduction: You can subscribe to the Custom App Tools service to configure the overall style, important pages and components, themes, and other app UI options on your terms. You can also choose among a series of app templates to simplify UI customization and help you tailor a branded IoT app. For more information, see Custom App Tools.

Added Custom Domain Name

• How to access: Tuya IoT Development Platform > App > OEM App > Required Setting > Custom Domain Name.

• Introduction: You can subscribe to the Custom Domain Name service to customize a domain name that enables access to your OEM app and respective smart devices during network requests. Thus, your app can work with a custom domain name that does not contain characters such as tuya to improve your app’s uniqueness. This also helps you easily migrate to a private cloud. Things to note

Voice control

The voice control feature can be accessed in the top right corner of the homepage on the app during the beta testing. After the update of the app version, if any problem regarding this feature arises, submit a ticket or contact Tuya’s account manager to fix the problem. Otherwise, voice control might not work as expected after the update.
